Carving
Often the jewel points in our designs are relief carvings. In relief carving the background is removed and then textured, revealing the design. This is a space where the clients or family can choose imagery that reflects something they feel an affinity for; redwoods, California poppies, hummingbirds, to name a few.
Fireplace surrounds, mantels, friezes, decorative panels, columns, and furniture are some of the favored areas we enhance with carvings. When a frieze or repetitive design is desired, we offer carvings that are then cast in plaster and faux finished.
